Oliver Hindle, community manager for Fall Guys, previewed a new customizable nameplate feature that is coming to Fall Guys Season 2 on Twitter. On top of outfits and theatrics, players will be able to access a new tab that allows them to customize a banner and nickname for their character. Some of the banner icons shown include a crown, watermelon, pizza and the Pride flag, with nicknames such as ‘cool bean’ and ‘big yeeted.’ Hindle said the community will be able to suggest nicknames for future updates.

Customizable nameplates are likely to be a popular new feature for Fall Guys, particularly for PC players who haven’t been able to change their names from a pre-assigned number. PlayStation players have their PSN IDs appear in-game, but the addition of nameplates will make it much easier for teammates to identify each other.

Fall Guys has a large range of customizable cosmetic items, which have included special crossovers with other indie games such as Gris and My Friend Pedro. Fall Guys Season 2 is adopting a medieval theme, which will introduce gauntlet-style challenges and fantasy costumes. With the addition of a new customizable interface, Fall Guys is clearly preparing to add a new set of cosmetic options that players can spend their crowns on.

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is available now on PC and PS4.
