According to an official press release, the new gear will be making its way to Rock Band 4 via an update on December 8, 2015. After those that own the peripheral-heavy, music game have committed some of their precious time to installing the update, they’ll then immediately be able to download and access the Fallout 4 attire for free – which is a nice bonus for dedicated fans of the post-apocalyptic RPG.

As one would expect from any company that managed to secure some sort of Fallout representation within its game, Harmonix CEO Steve Janiak is understandably excited by what this means from both a business and fan perspective.

Harmonix isn’t the first outside developer to take advantage of the hype surrounding the blockbuster game, as is evident by a similar promotion that occurred within Forza Motorsport 6. In that deal, a free Fallout 4-themed vehicle was made available – much to the delight of hopeful wasteland wanderers. Of course, this may not be the end of these cross-promotional materials either, but those hoping to cash-in on the Fallout 4 hype train are going to have to make any potential partnerships known sooner rather than later.
