Lavon “Lavonicus” Smith spent 30+ hours mapping the ocean floor of the Commonwealth from the base game of Fallout 4, and even created a virtual map so gamers could follow in his tracks. Now, it appears Lavonicus is at it again for the Fallout 4: Far Harbor DLC.

Fallout 4: Far Harbor is a huge piece of DLC, and Lavonicus has again taken on the role of photojournalist. His imgur has the full gallery of the strange sights that he found while exploring the depths. Lucky for fans, it did not take him nearly as long this time around, and the screen captures look even better. Instead of playing on the PS4 this time, Lavonicus played on PC, which enabled him to turn the water effects off and get much clearer shots.

Lavonicus again included a map to mark places of interest in case the player would like to find these spots themselves. Some of the highlights include a ship full of creepy mannequins, a heartwrenching tribute to Titanic, several wrecked vehicles, too many murderous lawn gnomes, and even a teddy bear riding a cannon. There is also some loot to be had under the sea, but this expedition is more for those who want to see the world, and less for those who are seeking to build a more powerful vault dweller. The map is color coded between points of interest and loot, so players can decide for themselves what they would like to see.

Bethesda typically stuffs their worlds full of in-jokes, references, and visual gags to entertain their eagle-eyed fans. The level of attention pumped into the various worlds keeps people playing and invites them to explore every inch of the map, even after all the quests have been completed.

Fallout 4 has fewer quests than Skyrim, but that hardly means the world is smaller. The Commonwealth, like Bethesda’s previous game worlds, rewards that curious exploration with great stories and sights that few players ever get to witness or can take the time to appreciate. This attention to detail and world building are a huge reason why Fallout 4 received the rave reviews it did upon release.
