According to the blog post, the decision to create an independent VA department did not come easy. It was only “after long internal discussion and consultations with intellectual property lawyers,” that the developers reached this conclusion.

Initially, the developers believed they would have access to the original game’s audio files, and when this proved not to be the case they created this team to work alongside their Level Design and Asset Creation teams. Unlike those two departments, the Voice Acting section of development will not follow the same release cycles. New content from this section will be released as it becomes available and won’t coincide with the projects the other two are working on.

For fans interested in voice acting, it seems the team will soon make an announcement on their official blog spot for when they will accept applications. There was no word on criteria for applicants, but more info on this is sure to arise once they make a follow up post. Overall, the developers emphasized that they feel the support of the fans and are dedicated to bringing this game to Fallout 4’s Creation Engine despite the difficulties, with the mod having come a long way since it’s initial gameplay footage.

This comes as good news as delayed development is still better than no development. Whether or not the team will be able to deliver on their decision to move forward with the project remains to be seen, but the outlook, for now, is positive.

Fallout 4 is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
