So Fallout 76 fans worried that they can’t access the game right now should rest assured that it’s not due to technical issues on Bethesda’s end. On the contrary, it’s just so Bethesda can properly add the new content.

As far as what Fallout 76 Update 21 entails, players will be able to start participating in the community event to bring supplies to the ATLAS Observatory, which in turn unlocks special events and rewards for all players. Players will also be able to participate in the new “A Colossal Problem” public event at some point within the next few weeks, as well as take part in the Meat Week seasonal event that starts on August 18.
In the meantime, the Fallout 76 servers should be restored sooner rather than later. Bethesda took the Fallout 76 servers down at 10am ET, so the game has been inaccessible for a little over an hour at the time of this writing. It’s unlikely that the Fallout 76 server maintenance will last too much longer, though, so fans should be able to jump back into their game and check out the new content sooner rather than later.
Fallout 76 is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
