RELATED: Fallout 76 Finally Gets A Public Test Server
If Bethesda was planning to bring all of the Fallout series to consoles as well as PC, it seems likely that it would have made such an announcement during its E3 2019 press conference. Instead Bethesda’s E3 2019 press conference focused on new content coming to Fallout 76, and it didn’t make much mention of any classic Fallout games.
Interestingly enough, Fallout 76 is seemingly the only Fallout game not included in the Fallout Legacy Collection. One could say that’s because it’s not part of the main series, but Fallout Tactics isn’t a main series Fallout game either, and it’s part of the lineup. Maybe Bethesda opted to keep Fallout 76 out of the collection due to the poor critical reception of that game, but an actual reason hasn’t been given at this time.
If anything, it seems like it would be to Bethesda’s advantage to bundle Fallout 76 in the Fallout Legacy Collection. That way it could maybe convince some Fallout fans who haven’t tried Fallout 76 to check the game out, which could in turn increase its active player base. Whatever the case may be, we may learn more about Bethesda’s decision to leave Fallout 76 out of the Fallout Legacy Collection once it’s actually announced.
Fallout Legacy Collection is rumored to be in development for PC.
