For those who aren’t aware, Fallout: London is a hugely ambitious mod for the main game which will see a new story take place in England’s capital city, as the name suggests. With events occurring between the first and second Fallout entries, in the year 2237, players will get to experience a post-nuclear wasteland outside of the US, with new factions across a breadth of London’s main boroughs. Although no exact release date has been given, the developer believes the mod will be ready sometime in 2023....

The quality of the trailer below makes Fallout: Miami look more like official Bethesda DLC than fan-made modification, a testament to the quality of work being put into the large-scale project. Fallout: Miami will introduce a brand new worldspace and a main quest line filled to the brim with new characters, equipment, settlements, companions, and even interactive vehicles (more on that below). The large development team seem to be doing the sunshine state great justice, and is doing a great job injecting the spirit of Florida into the game - Miami even has its own citrus-based version of Nuka Cola called Pop & Chill, a testament to the attention to detail put into the production....

To be specific, the mod itself is actually Cirosan’s English conversion of Shadwar’s Russian NewDialog mod, and instead of button prompts presenting truncated bits of discourse à la Mass Effect 3’s script and voice dialogue options, the Fallout 4 utterances will be shown as full sentences in the form of a numbered list. It’s important to note that the mod is still in its beta form, so while everything is currently running smoothly, there could be a few chat options that get lost in translation....

One of the coolest things about Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us was that it offered a view of a very different kind of apocalyptic setting than what games usually have to offer. Seeing abandoned cities overrun by weeds, trees, and other vegetation made the world feel alive and also gave Naughty Dog a chance to show off some insane textures. For now, the PC version of Fallout 4 is the only one that supports mods and many users utilize Nexusmods, a vast database that also comes with its own launcher, making the process of switching between various mods incredibly easy. Since the PC update went live, a new Fallout 4 launcher was added, which accidentally broke the Nexus launcher and a few other mods as well. Thankfully, fixing the mod issue is fairly easy by following these steps but it’s worth noting that this won’t fix every modding issue....

While few would blame Bethesda for releasing Fallout 4 as is, the studio’s hope of making the game one of the most successful clearly requires a lot of work. It’s not just about pre-order bonuses either – although there are a surprising amount of them – but by making sure players know all of the finer points about the game. Mister Handy, for example, is one of the companion characters featured in Fallout 4 – a modified version of the familiar, multi-armed robot seen throughout the post-apocalyptic series....

That’s a question that was asked directly to Bethesda’s Senior Vice President of Global Marketing and Communication when he took to Twitter to try and answer as many Fallout 76 questions as he could. When asked what happens when a player dies during a quest, Pete Hines responded by saying players can simply pick the quest back up after they respawn. There’s no need to save because the game does that for players....

Thanks to the positive reception Fallout 76’s Nuclear Winter has received since the start of the free trial period, Bethesda has announced it’s decided the battle royale mode will remain online indefinitely. In Nuclear Winter, 52 players are forced to fight for the right to be named Overseer of Vault 51. Players are able to use a variety of well known items and weapons commonly seen in the Fallout wasteland, such as Power Armor and turrets....

In fact, it appears that Fallout 76 is a graphical downgrade from its predecessor Fallout 4 on the Xbox One X, despite it being the most powerful console on the market. It’s worth mentioning, though, that the downgrades could be a result of the pre-launch build, the new multiplayer aspect, or both. According to Digital Foundry’s graphical test, Fallout 76’s resolution seems to bite the bullet, as it dips lower than even the lowest levels of its predecessor....

This note opens with thanks given to the Fallout 76 community for making their voices heard and then doubles-down on the Atomic Shop promise, stating that “it will not provide anything that offers a competitive advantage.” Repair Kits will still be available in the microtransactions store, though, because Bethesda does not feel these utility items constitute a breach of that promise. Bethesda states that these Repair Kits are a “convenient option” that offers no competitive edge since they simply fix items in the field, and if they were to find that these utility items did over some advantages, Bethesda would act and make any necessary changes....

When the 2020 road map was first unveiled on May 14, 2020, the news post accompanying it said that “you will be able to take part in our inaugural Summer Season for free as soon as it begins.” They updated the article on May 20 to clarify that all “Fallout Seasons will be free for all of our players” and apologized for the confusion, with a subsequent reminder of this fact in the Fallout 76 news article posted Thursday, May 21....

As seen in the tweet below from Bethesda Softworks’ Vice President of Marketing and PR, Pete Hines, the publisher and developer won’t feature cross-play “for a number of reasons”. As it so happens, the company doesn’t seem to be too concerned with that fact, as it’s focused on Fallout 76’s beta and its launch in November instead. Nevertheless, it doesn’t seem as if cross-play is ruled out entirely, as Hines admitted that he has “no idea” if the feature will ever be implemented in the game....

The latest of these announcements is a list of three new names added to the cast. The biggest name, Kyle MacLachlan, is best known for his work with David Lynch in Twin Peaks (1990-1991, 2017), Blue Velvet (1986), and Dune (1984), as well as comedy series Portlandia (2011-2018) and the Marvel show Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. The soccer team was on its way to play a South American cup final in the Colombian city of Medellin when the plane crashed on a mountain just a few miles away. Colombian authorities have concluded that fuel shortages and negligence caused the crash on Nov. 28, 2016. The flight was operated by a charter airline registered in Bolivia known as LaMia, whose general manager was charged with manslaughter following the accident....

The costumes will require some legwork to acquire, however, as players must complete a series of challenges first. Plus, these will only be available for a limited time and are split into two separate events. The first, the Ratchet Limited Time Event, requires players to obtain 3200 points from challenges to unlock the full Ratchet costume, plus some additional cosmetics. It will run from July 26th to August 1st....
