The chances of seeing a sequel to New Vegas are higher than they have been in years. Microsoft acquired the developer of New Vegas, Obsidian Entertainment, in late 2018. In 2020, Microsoft purchased Bethesda, the current owners of the Fallout franchise. In the immediate aftermath of Microsoft’s acquisition of Bethesda, rumors started doing the rounds online about a possible sequel to New Vegas. Since then, there has been no official news on a new Fallout game from Bethesda or Obsidian....

Mutants are basically their own race in Fallout, and ghouls are the subject of interest when it comes to character creation. Ghouls are humanoid characters immune to radiation and have incredibly long lifespans. They look like zombies, and some are feral, but there are those that are basically human in every other sense.
