Even though Bethesda has commented that there would be no more story based reveals in the months and weeks leading up to the Fallout 4 launch, fans are still getting details about certain game mechanics and potential changes to gameplay. One recently revealed tidbit about the new leveling system in place acts as even more evidence that fans will be playing this game for a very long time. After a recent interview with a Bethesda representative, details surrounding how perk levels are factored into the experience system have been revealed…...

For those who aren’t familiar, Grognak the Barbarian is a comic book character in the Fallout universe. The comic books follow the adventures of the titular character in a prehistoric world. Unfortunately many of the issues were destroyed or severely damaged during the Great War of 2077, so any copies still around – especially those with no missing pages – are considered to be of great worth. There’s also a Holotape game centered around the character....

Fallout 4 has been out for several months now, and modifications for the post-apocalyptic title have been flooding the internet ever since it launched. There’s plenty of creative content pouring in from fans, but this is the first Fallout 4 modification we’ve seen that gives players an option for both male and female bobbleheads. While the former may have a complete line of Bethesda products and the whole in-canon thing going for him, the latter is a brand new, unofficial modification that found its way to Nexus Mods last week....

Bethesda has repeatedly stated that they cannot and will not produce more Pip-Boy editions for Fallout 4, which has led to some fans creating their own Pip-Boys. However, it seems that Bethesda still had a few Pip-Boys up their sleeve for a lucky few. Earlier today, the button to place a pre-order for the Pip-Boy Edition of Fallout 4 on the official online Bethesda store went live, allowing pre-orders again....

In the process of throwing a wedding together, Twitter user Rickforb and her spouse wanted to show off that Fallout 76 wasn’t all about fighting mutants and surviving roving gangs of killer bandits. Gamers have done this kind of thing in MMOs before but this is one of the first time anyone has tried an actual wedding ceremony inside the world that Bethesda built. As for whether or not this was a real wedding or just something put on to play around in the game, Rickforb told PCGamesN that it was a little bit of both....

In mid-June, composer Inon Zur confirmed on his official webpage that he would be working with Bethesda once again as part of the Starfield team. As part of a prepared statement, Zur described his composition efforts on Starfield as having a “unique, classical sci-fi direction.” He then pointed fans toward the Starfield teaser trailer shared during the Xbox Games Showcase, which features a brief example of the work he’s done....

Very little information about the Fallout TV show is yet available, but it is confirmed that Bethesda Studios will be involved with the show’s production. Fallout executive producer and game director Todd Howard even offered his thoughts to Variety on the topic. Howard says that Bethesda has talked with Joy and Nolan about the project for years and that he sees them as “the ones to do [Fallout] right.”...

Through the use of software called Punkbuster, Battlefield 3 has been able to detect players who are using unauthorized software for play, and has thusly banned them from using the servers. However this didn’t sit too well hackers, and they wanted to fight back. In essence, hackers were using innocent players as scapegoats to show that the use of Punkbuster is flawed, and in turn getting those defenseless players banned....

Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) issued a statement on Monday denouncing the claims that the selection of the national team was made by the upper echelons of FAM. The average age of the 26-man squad is at 27.8 but the presence of a number of players who are on the wrong side of 30, has created a uproar amongst the fans. FAM through Datuk Hamidin Amin went about to explain that the decisions were made by the coaches but also hinted that future squads may take a different shape once newly-hired Nelo Vingada has the chance to observe players when the domestic competitions resumes....

In a post shared on Reddit earlier in October, the user, u/LawsandBrawls, explained that when their father died unexpectedly, them and their sister Jess, knowing their family is famous for “scavenging over dead people’s things,” sent a note to all, forbidding them from entering their late dad’s house or take anything from it, until they arrived home from the west coast. To do this, simply leave the vault at the beginning as usual, and meet up with Dogmeat at the gas station not too far from the neighborhood that the player character lived in before the bombs fell. Interact with Dogmeat so that he becomes a companion character, and then return to Vault 111 with him. Once back in Vault 111, give Dogmeat the “fetch” command. Dogmeat should approach the locked case that contains the Cryolator, and pull it right out with no trouble....

The Fallout 4 GOTY Switch listing appeared early Saturday and lasted a few hours before eventually being taken down. When it comes to retail listing takedowns they can go either way: some are taken down because they went live too early, while others are taken down because they are incorrect. Since this is a foreign retailer, there is an added layer of skepticism regarding the leak, if only because foreign retailers tend to list non-existent products more often than North American hubs....

Although PC gamers have developed a reputation for savvy online purchases that are characterized by discounts and Steam sales, SuperData’s founder and CEO Joost van Dreunen believes Fallout 4 illustrates that certain games can buck that trend. Dreunen suggested that PC gamer’s don’t “exclusively purchase games at a huge discount” and that they are “willing to shell out full price for select titles”. That Fallout 4 has shipped 12 million copies globally in addition to its digital figures is evidence of that fact....

Per the game’s official website, patch 1.4.0.23 is now available on all platforms following Fallout 76’s brief maintenance period earlier this morning. The new hotfix addresses a handful of specific issues, including a bug that let players bypass PvP rules and kill neutral players, another that caused the Weight Bench’s Strength bonus to stack repeatedly, and a lack of preview images for the Armor Ace Bundle.
